The short answer

Professional TV mounting in Las Vegas starts at $110 — that is our starting price for a straightforward install: a TV on a standard drywall-and-stud wall, at normal viewing height, with the cables run neatly to the components below. From there, the price moves with three things: how big the TV is, what the wall is made of, and what you want done with the wires. Most single-TV installs we quote land somewhere between that $110 starting point and the mid-$200s once a mount, in-wall cables or a fireplace wall enter the picture. Here is the full breakdown, so you can predict your quote before you ever call.

Price by TV size

Size changes the job in two ways: weight and handling. A 43-inch TV is a one-person lift; an 85-inch is a two-person job with a much larger mount and zero room for error.

  • Up to 55 inches: the standard case. Most of these installs sit at or near the $110 starting price on a regular wall, assuming a fixed or tilting mount and cables dropped straight down to a console.
  • 56 to 75 inches: expect the quote to step up from the starting price. The mount hardware costs more, stud spacing matters more, and centering a TV this size is a two-set-of-hands job to do safely.
  • 76 inches and up: firmly in "get a quote" territory. These screens often weigh 80–100+ pounds, need heavy-duty mounts, and in great rooms they are frequently paired with a soundbar and in-wall wiring — the visit becomes a small project rather than a single task.

Price by wall type — the part nobody warns you about

The wall decides how hard the install is, and Las Vegas has more variety than people expect:

  • Drywall over wood studs: the baseline everything above assumes. Common in most valley homes built before the mid-2000s.
  • Metal studs: standard in many newer communities — Inspirada, Cadence and much of the recent construction in Henderson and the southwest valley. Metal studs need toggle-style anchoring and a different technique; a pro who has done them prices it as a modest step up, a pro who hasn't may price it as a surprise. Ask.
  • Stone, brick or tile fireplace walls: the premium case. Drilling masonry or stone veneer takes diamond tooling and patience, anchors differ, and there is no easy way to hide cables inside a solid wall. This is the install most likely to land in the $200s.
  • Concrete or block: found in some older homes, casitas and condo conversions. Similar story to masonry — very doable, different hardware, a bit more time.

The add-ons, priced honestly

Mount hardware. If you already own a mount, we mount yours. If not, typical retail prices run roughly $25–$60 for a fixed mount, $40–$100 for a tilting mount, and $80–$250 for a full-motion arm — larger TVs push each range up. Tell us when you book and the mount can be included in your flat quote, so there is one number, not a hardware errand.

In-wall cable concealment. The difference between "mounted" and "finished." A power-bridge kit that legally and safely puts an outlet behind the TV, with HDMI run in-wall, typically runs $30–$80 in materials at retail, plus the added labor to cut, fish and patch. On an interior drywall wall it is very achievable; on an exterior wall stuffed with insulation or a solid masonry wall, we will tell you honestly that a paintable surface channel is the better answer instead of selling you the impossible.

Soundbar mounting typically adds a modest amount to the visit — it mounts to the TV brackets or the wall directly below, gets leveled with the screen and wired in the same trip. Shelves or a component ledge for a streaming box or console are similar small add-ons. Bundling them into the same visit is always cheaper than a second trip.

Above the fireplace: the Las Vegas special

Half the mounting requests in Henderson and Summerlin great rooms are over the fireplace, so it deserves its own paragraph. Three things get checked before any holes: the wall surface (often stone or tile — see the premium case above), the mounting height versus your seating, because a TV over a mantel sits high enough that a tilting or pull-down mount often makes the difference between comfortable and a sore neck, and heat. A working gas fireplace can push the surface temperature above the firebox past what a TV should live in. We check before drilling; if the spot genuinely cooks, moving the TV or changing the mount style beats replacing a heat-damaged screen in two years.

DIY vs. hiring it out

Mounting a 43-inch TV on a plain drywall wall is a fair DIY job if you own a stud finder, a level and a drill, and you accept the two classic outcomes: slightly crooked, and a constellation of test holes behind the TV. The math changes with a big screen, a masonry wall, metal studs or in-wall wiring — that is where the $110-and-up buys you the right anchors, the right bits, a second pair of hands and a wall that still looks clean. And if the old mounting spot leaves holes behind when you move a TV, our drywall repair pricing is simple: small holes run $120–$150, patched and texture-matched.

How our pricing works

Estimates are free. Tell us the TV size, what the wall is (if you know), and what you want for cables when you call (702) 513-6001, and you get a flat quote before we start — the number does not grow mid-install because the wall "turned out different." We serve all of Greater Las Vegas from Henderson to Summerlin to North Las Vegas, Mon–Sun 8AM–12AM, and most standard mounts are done in a single visit of about an hour. Full service details are on our TV mounting page, and Henderson homeowners can see the local version at TV mounting in Henderson.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the $110 starting price include the mount?

The starting price covers the mounting labor for a standard mount. If you already have a mount, we mount yours; if you need one, tell us when you book and we will include the right mount in the same flat quote — fixed, tilting or full-motion — so there are no separate hardware trips or surprise line items.

How long does a TV mounting appointment take?

A standard drywall install usually takes about an hour. Masonry walls, in-wall cable work, soundbars and very large screens add time — an above-fireplace install with a soundbar and concealed cables is realistically a 1.5–2 hour visit. We will give you the time window with your quote.

Can you mount a TV on metal studs or a stone fireplace?

Yes to both — they are weekly work in the newer Henderson communities and in Summerlin great rooms. Metal studs take toggle anchors and a spread load; stone and brick take diamond tooling and masonry anchors. What changes is the hardware and the time, which is exactly what your flat quote will reflect before we start.

Can the cables really be hidden completely?

On an interior drywall wall, yes — power and HDMI can go fully in-wall with a proper power-bridge kit. On exterior walls and solid masonry, in-wall routing is sometimes not possible or not wise, and the honest alternative is a slim paintable channel that most people stop noticing within a day. We will tell you which case your wall is before quoting.
